All players should have the following equipment:
๐งค Glove - Choose right- or left-hand throw based on your dominant hand. Youth gloves are smaller; adult gloves are bigger. Position-specific gloves may vary in size. New gloves are more rigid and tough for small hands to close. Find used if possible. Label your equipment.
๐ช Helmet with Face Guard (optional) - Safety first! Helmets with face guards are often required by leagues. Make sure it fits snugly and comfortably.ย
*NOTE - we do have a limited amount of shared, team helmets available
๐ Bat (optional) - Select youth or adult size according to your age and league rules. Aluminum or composite bats are common. A general rule of thumb is finding a length where the bat reaches from the ground to the hip and a maximum weight where the player can swing several times on a straight plane without dropping the barrel downward.
*NOTE - we do have shared, team bats available for use
๐ Cleats or Athletic Shoes - Rubber cleats are best but any athletic shoe will work. Make sure they fit comfortably to prevent blisters. Keep in mind we play in sand and slippery conditions so cleats are preferred.
๐ Uniform - Traditional black softball-style pants made of durable athletic material, typically elastic or belted at the waist, with a tapered or knicker fit designed for sliding and field play.
*NOTE - team jerseys/shirts are included in your registration.
๐ก๏ธ Protective Gear - Infielder's mask; ensure proper fit for safety.
*NOTE - we may have a limited amount of these available if someone forgets their own
๐ง Water Bottle - Stay hydrated during practice and games. Label it with your name to avoid mix-ups.
